We’re Mahendra and Diptii, co-founders of Ancestry Millets Private Limited. 9th December 2021, Our journey started when both us (Mahendra, masters in electronic engineering, serial entrepreneur and visionaire, and Diptii, a B. Pharma grad with 16 years Nutraceutical experience) met for a coffee at Starbucks and debated over potential of millets in human diet. Rest is in front of you
The Problem not Known to many
No to very few brand with brands with 90-100% millet based products in the market
While trying to leverage on the new millet buzz, not many companies have invested in developing the products that are 90 to 100% millet based. Products available in the market were, 10 to 40% millet + wheat / maida / rice etc.
Minimum to no, focus on providing millets that are digestible, safe for long-term consumption, and enhanced nutrition bioavailability
The digestive profile of the millets is challenge in today’s world. High antinutrients and fiber content, make millets not so easy to digest and if consumed without certain processing, aren’t safe for millet only diet and long term consumption.
